I dug a farewell garden
With my bare hands
I dug, on my knees
Tears blinding me
Oblivious to the dirt
Building around me
My nails broken, bloodied
Dragged the soil to life
And then I planted you
Every memory
Hurt, heartache
You lashed upon me
I planted
Deep within the ground
Sealed the mud upon the pain
And never cried again
